Some things are just futile. No matter what he does, “it is what it is”. All actions make things worse. Anything he says or does make it worse. Just thinking about it, makes it worse. He thinks that ten years from his end on earth, no one will have a passing thought of him. He feels It is exceedingly difficult to please anyone. He is not believed and is ridiculed. He feels discarded. He struggles to make a lasting impact on anyone that will make a difference in the end, but it does not appear he is having success. Society has abandoned their core values and now just make them up as they go.
Everyone has their own opinion, but it seems the only reasonable action is not to do as man tells him. Instead, he must do what God wants. Not what he thinks God wants but what God wants. He knows that his opinion is not relevant to God or anyone else. God on the other hand does not have an opinion but “facts”.
So, here are some important questions which he really feels he must know the correct answer. Remember, the answers cannot be what you think. They must be what you know to be true. Can you encourage him with your answers?
1. Why pray? Does God ever say if you ask for it you will get it? Thus, what is the point?
2. What is going to happen to those who ignore God?
3. Does God really care about mankind or for him? Most people will not make it to heaven.
4. What can he do to help bring some people to the fold? Shouldn’t it be something significant? What do you do when the world is so indifferent?
5. What is the true purpose of man?
6. By doing this exercise, were you encouraged and/or did you learn any important facts?
Is there any hope for this simple man? Is this exorcise not worth the trouble.
