Christmas?

Everybody knows by now that I like open ended questions.

Is it Christmas or a holiday?

What do we believe about this season?

The just of it is this. Either it is a celebration of the birth of Christ, or it is a pointless waste of time and resources.

Just a Holiday

If you have convinced yourself that it is all just a fairy tale like Santa and Rudolf. What is the basis for your morality? If everyone must do what they think is right, then no two people can really be using the same standard. The statement “absolute truth does not exist” is not logical and inconsistent. After all, Hitler I am sure, was very convinced that what he was doing was the right thing. There is plenty of evidence God’s existence. (Psalm 8:3) There is philosophical evidence. (Why is there something rather than nothing?) The very rule of logic comes from God Almighty or cannot be explained. There is more historical evidence for Jesus than any other figure of history. Thus, he must have been born.

The Birth of Christ

We are all sinners (Romans 3:23). The greatest gift ever given to man was the Son of God (John 3:16). This is provable also for those who need proof. Some are blessed in that they just know (John 20:29). The birth of Jesus was a miracle, and he performed many miracles in front of hundreds of witnesses (1 Corinthians 15:5-8).

Merry Christmas

Every new year marks the birth of Christ and the Greatest gift ever given. Let us all celebrate this gift and distribute love in the way that Jesus described.

Matthew 22:37-39

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Do yourself a favor folks. Read Luke 2:1-20 to your family this year. Review how the gift arrived!!
