What about the Really Bad People?

We all know some. How about Putin? How about the illegal aliens that have raped and killed?  How about the guy who cut you off in traffic.

Jesus said, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”. (Matthew 5:43-44)

Jesus said, “But to you who are listening I say; Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

Here are a few mor verses to ponder. (Romans 12:20, Proverbs 24:17)

The Scribes and Pharisees arranged for his crucifixion. Many Jewish people cried give us Barabbas. The Romans beat him, nailed him to a cross, gambled for his clothing.  The pain must have been unbearable.  The Bible tells us that he had legions of angels that would come at his calling.  What did he do?

“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. (Luke 23:34)

Yes, he prayed for them and gave them everything he had.  Lucky for those really bad people (sinners) that Jesus loved them and died for them.  Wait, we are all sinners. (Romens 3:23)

Yes, lucky for us that Jesus did just exactly what he told us to do.

What are you going to do about it?
