Jesus Loves the Little Children

There came a point in time when God gave man children.

(Genesis 4:1) And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord”

Adam knew Eve, his wife.  Apparently, it takes a man and a wife to have children.   At least according to plan.  Not just a woman.  Not Just a man.  Not some other combination.  According to this simple scripture, children are a gift from God.

We are given a warning concerning our family. (1 Timothy 5:8) But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

We should teach our children the way they should go. (Proverbs 22:6) (Deuteronomy 6:5-9) We our to love the Lord with all our hearts.  To teach our children about God, in the morning and evening, when we are at home or away. (Deuteronomy 11:10)

Jesus loved children (Matthew 19:13-15)  He prayed for them. He blessed them.  He said, “Let the children come to me”.

Jesus said (Matthew 18:5-6) “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.  But if you cause on of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.”

If we teach our children to sin, or that their sin is OK we are subject to the rath of God. Children are the responsibility of the church but even more so the responsibility of the family. God is not a topic that comes up occasionally.  He should be a part of your everyday life and the life of your children.  The government is not responsible for teaching your children about God.  In fact, the system is so twisted it avoids God at all costs.  We cannot let the corrupt and ungodly secular community train our children up in the way they are not supposed to be. Even Christian teachers are limited on what the system will let them do.

Here is some food for thought. No matter the age of your children.

For each child, when is the last time God or the things of God have come up with them?

Who is Jesus?  What would your children say?

What are your children’s assumptions concerning where they will be on Sunday morning?

Finally, how would you answer the same questions?

God loves the children.  What are you going to do about it?
