How do you know for sure if you are going to heaven?

Many people think that if they can just be good enough then they will make it.

If their good outweighs their bad will that do it? Perhaps if they help in a soup kitchen or go to church most of the time. What does the Bible say about it? Is there a check of list?

What about our loved ones? Are they going to make it?

(Matthew 7:13) The bible says that broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. Narrow is the way that leads to life and few there are that find it.

The truth is that many who think that they are good enough will be sadly disappointed. (Matthew 7:23) Jesus will say to them, good works and all, “I never knew you”.

Some people make a halfhearted attempt to just make it under the line. (Revelation 3:16) Because you are luke warm (not hot or cold) I will spit you out of my mouth.

The Bible says (Romans 8:23) that all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. The good news or Gospel is that (Romans 5:8) while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. He didn’t wait for us to do something first. Because of this the only way we can be saved is through Jesus Christ. Because of what Jesus did we have a way to salvation (Acts 4:12) Again, (John 14:6) Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through Jesus Christ.

(Mark 1:14-15) Jesus says repent and believe in the Gospel (good news). He died for our sins. He paid a heavy price for our redemption. So, what we need to do is repent (turn away from our sin) and believe in the one that saved us (Jesus).

Now if we know this and do nothing about it, we deserve what we get. If we truly love Jesus we will also make sure everyone knows. In order to choose heaven, you must make a choice. People should know it is a choice. We should tell them. Our Savoir died for them also.

What are you going to do about it?
