GOD vs god

If you are in the world and of the world you are participating in a doomed trajectory. Every one of the world will get what the world deserves. When we make ourselves a god by deciding for ourselves what is right and wrong, we are in direct defiance of GOD. Sometimes we presume ourselves to know better than GOD what is right and wrong. JESUS has never changed (Hebrews 13:8). GOD does not change (Malachi 3:6) If your values have changed or evolved over time, is it because your understanding of God’s will has improved, or is it because you have drifted towards mans will?

None of us are innocent (Romans 3:23). We should all repent (Mark 1:15). Let us take a little look at ourselves. When driving, do you speed? In Romans 13:1 it says “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.” Is it OK to defy God in this little way?

Matthew 5:28 states that if you look at someone with lust you are guilty of adultery in your heart. Most of us are guilty. Many, if not all, of our young people are guilty of more than that. Both Christians and Non-Christians treat sexual activity as normal among young unmarried people. There are dozens of bible verses about this condemned behavior. Here is a small summary of some of them. “God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.” “Each man will have his own wife.” “Flee from sexual immorality.” “Just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.” (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, 7:2, Galatians 5:19-21, John 8:41-42, Matthew 5:32, 19:9, Revelation 21:8, Mark 7:20-23, Colossians 3:5, Jude 1:7, Ephesians 5:3, Galatians 5:19, Matthew 5:19, 2 Timothy 2:22, Revelations 22:15, 9:21,2:20, Deuteronomy 22:22, Acts 15:20, Exodus 20:14,1 Timothy 1:10, Matthew 15:19-20, etc.)

After examining God’s word how can we justify things the way we do? “Everybody does it.” “They are going to do it anyway.” “At least we know who she is with.” Do you see it. We are giving god a higher seat than GOD!

You can do the same exercise with coveting, worshiping idols, honoring your father and mother, stealing and much more. The Bible says in James 4:6 that GOD resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. If we truly love GOD are we going to do as GOD says or quietly listen to god instead.

If we want to live in GOD’s kingdom, shouldn’t we live like the King says?
