Moral
The moral law reflects God’s eternal standards—rooted in His character and fulfilled in Christ.
Exodus 20:1–17 – The Ten Commandments lay the foundation.
Matthew 22:37–40 – Jesus summarizes the law: love God, love your neighbor.
Romans 13:10 – “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
It’s not about legalism—it’s about living out love and justice consistently.
⚖️ Selective
Picking and choosing which commands to follow is spiritually dangerous.
James 2:10 – Breaking one part of the law breaks it all.
1 Samuel 15:22 – “To obey is better than sacrifice.”
Matthew 23:23 – Jesus rebukes the Pharisees for neglecting justice and mercy.
Selective obedience reveals a divided heart. God desires full devotion, not partial compliance.
Do you love your neighbor if ………? Is baseball (football) more important than church on Sunday. Do you obey the speed limit? Do you love the Lord God with all your heart mind and sole on Sunday? How about Monday? How about when nobody is looking?
What are you going to do about it?
