God is love but God is a just God. This means he is consistent. Justice is mandatory. You can’t sin, put it from your mind, and think about something else. He will not forget. God executes perfect justice in all situations.
Sin is transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Yes, we are all in trouble.
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8) The good news is, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. (Acts 3:19)
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways (repent), I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. (Luke 15:7)
The message is clear. We must repent and turn away from our sin. Do not ignore your sin and hope God does the same. There will be Justice.
What are you going to do about it?
